Workspaces & Brand Profiles
How Meltiply organizes work — your workspace (organization), Brand Profiles, roles, and what profile selection changes across the app.

Meltiply organizes everything you do into two levels: a workspace at the top, and Brand Profiles inside it. Understanding this structure makes every other screen easier to use.
Workspaces
Your workspace is the organization your account belongs to — typically your company, agency, or personal business. Its name appears at the top of the sidebar, with your plan or role underneath.
- Select the workspace name to open a menu listing your workspace and a Workspace Settings shortcut.
- Settings → General shows your name, email, role, and plan (read-only), plus the workspace’s organization name.
- Settings → Team Members is a Preview tab — it shows you as the current member with your role, but inviting and role management are disabled and not yet available.
Each person’s account belongs to a workspace; the session always runs inside the active one.
Brand Profiles
A Brand Profile is a named, color-labeled scope inside your workspace. Every channel connection, media asset, and post belongs to exactly one Brand Profile.
Use Brand Profiles to separate things you manage independently — for example, one profile per client, brand, product line, or region. Because ownership is per-profile, you can filter every board to just the work for one brand and avoid cross-posting to the wrong audience.
Each profile has:
- Name (required, up to 100 characters)
- Description (optional, up to 280 characters — shown as a tooltip and in empty states)
- Color — a swatch that identifies the profile’s channels, posts, and assets across the app
Who can manage profiles
- Workspace admins can create, edit, and delete Brand Profiles.
- Members can view, select, and switch the active profile — in Settings the Switch button makes a profile the active selection — but can’t create, edit, or delete profiles. If you need a new profile, ask an admin — the Channels board shows this hint when no profiles exist.
Create a Brand Profile
Admins have two entry points:
- Settings → Brand Profiles → New Brand Profile
- Channels → Create Brand Profile — after saving, Meltiply selects the new profile and opens the connect-account dialog so you can link a channel right away
Edit a profile
- In Settings → Brand Profiles, select Edit next to the profile.
- On the Channels board, open the Brand Profile filter and use the pencil icon on a profile row (admins only).
Editing updates name, description, and color. It doesn’t affect the profile’s channels, posts, or assets.
Delete a profile
Deleting a Brand Profile is permanent — the confirmation dialog states that it permanently removes the profile’s channels, assets, and posts and cannot be undone. Scheduled and queued posts on the profile’s channels stop publishing. Admins can delete from:
- Settings → Brand Profiles → Delete
- Channels — a channel card’s profile menu (⋯) → Delete profile, or Hold to delete inside the profile editor
Deleted profiles are gone with everything they owned. To work under the same brand again you’d need a new profile, new channel connections, and new media — there is no recovery path.
Deleted Brand Profiles
Admins may see a Deleted Brand Profiles section in Settings. It lists profiles awaiting their purge — the page notes they are purged permanently 7 days after deletion — with a Restore action for each. Restoring brings the profile and its kept assets and posts back, but its channels stay disconnected and cancelled posts are not revived — reconnect channels from the Channels board afterward.
A profile removed through Delete is permanently deleted in that moment, so it does not come back through Restore — treat the delete confirmation as final.
The active Brand Profile selection
The Brand Profile filter in the toolbar on Channels and Posts controls which profile’s work you see:
- All Brand Profiles — the default aggregate view showing everything
- A specific profile — the board filters to that profile’s items, and several actions become profile-scoped
The selection matters because some actions only work with a profile chosen:
- Uploading media requires an active profile — the Upload Assets button is disabled on “All Brand Profiles”.
- Disconnecting a channel on the Channels board requires filtering to that channel’s profile first.
- Deleting a media asset requires an active profile.
- Creating or changing posts — the composer and post actions require an active profile.
The selection is shared across screens — picking a profile on Channels keeps it active on Posts and Media (the library lists the selected profile’s assets). You can also set it from Settings → Brand Profiles → Switch. Choose All Brand Profiles to return to the aggregate view.
If a channel or post still refers to a profile that no longer resolves in your workspace — for example one awaiting purge — it appears under Unknown profile so the item never disappears silently.
