The Media Library is the central repository for images and videos used across your posts. Upload files once and reuse them in the composer whenever you publish.
Before you upload
Uploads go to the Brand Profile selected in the app. The library follows that selection — it lists the selected profile’s assets, or all assets on “All Brand Profiles”. There’s no profile picker inside the library itself; choose the profile from the Brand Profile filter on Channels or Posts first, or Settings → Brand Profiles → Switch.
With All Brand Profiles active, Upload Assets is disabled — select a profile first. If you start an upload with no profile selected, Meltiply asks you to choose one.
New to Brand Profiles? See Workspaces & Brand Profiles.
Upload assets
- Select Upload Assets (or Upload First Asset on an empty library).
- Pick one or more files from your device — images and videos are accepted.
- Track each file’s progress in the upload list that appears.
Files upload one after another. Each row shows the file name, a progress bar, and a stage label:
- Preparing — setting up the upload session
- Uploading — transferring the file
- Offline — the connection dropped; the transfer continues when you’re back online (across visits, see below)
- Processing — the upload finished and Meltiply is preparing the asset
- Done — the asset is in your library
- Failed — the upload didn’t complete; you’ll also get an error notice with the file name
- Cancelled — you stopped the upload
Select the × next to an in-progress row to cancel that upload. Completed uploads land in the grid and a notice confirms how many assets were added.
Resuming an interrupted upload
Uploads are resumable. If a transfer is cut short — a closed tab, a dropped connection — Meltiply keeps the session on that device. On your next visit, a banner tells you how many incomplete upload sessions exist. Select the same file again through Upload Assets to continue where you left off instead of starting over.
Browse the library
The header shows the loaded asset count (with + when more pages exist). Below it:
- Search — filters by file name as you type
- All / Image / Video — a segmented control for media type
Assets appear as cards in a grid with a thumbnail (or a VIDEO/TEXT placeholder while processing), a status pill, the file name, type, and size. Pages show 20 assets each — use Previous and Next at the bottom to move through the library.
Hover a card for quick actions:
- Copy URL — copies a fresh download link for the asset to your clipboard
- Use in Composer — jumps to the post composer to attach it
- Delete — removes the asset (only when a Brand Profile is selected)
Select any card to open the detail view.
Preview and manage an asset
The detail view shows the full asset — image preview or playable video for ready assets, file size, and status. From here you can:
- Open Original — open the full-resolution file in a new tab (ready assets only)
- Insert in Composer — start a post with the asset attached
- Delete — permanently remove it (requires an active Brand Profile)
- Close — return to the grid
Asset statuses
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Pending upload | The asset record exists but its file hasn’t started uploading |
| Uploading | The file transfer is in progress |
| Processing | Uploaded — Meltiply is preparing previews and verifying the file |
| Ready | Available to preview, insert, and publish |
| Failed | Processing didn’t complete — the detail view shows the failure reason |
| Deleting / Deleted | Being removed, or removed from the library |
Delete an asset
Deleting is permanent — the confirmation states the asset “will be permanently removed from your media library” and can’t be undone. If an asset is still attached to a scheduled or in-flight post, deletion can be refused; cancel or remove it from those posts first.
Deep links
The library accepts URL parameters that set the view — ?search= (search text), ?type=image|video (filter), and ?selected= (open an asset’s detail view) — so you can bookmark or share a link that opens a specific view.
