# Terms of Service

Draft terms governing use of Meltiply — the workspace for planning, scheduling, and publishing social media content.

> **Draft — not yet in effect.** These Terms have not been approved by Meltiply's owner or reviewed by legal counsel, and they do not yet constitute a binding agreement. They describe the product and intended terms honestly; some points — identified in the text — remain subject to finalization before this document takes effect. Please do not rely on them as enforceable terms.

## 1. About these terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a working draft. They have not been approved by Meltiply's owner or reviewed by legal counsel, they do not yet form a binding agreement, and they may change before taking effect. Where a point depends on a decision that has not been made — the operator's legal identity, commercial terms, or governing law — the text says so instead of guessing.

Once finalized, these Terms will be an agreement between you and the operator of the Meltiply service, who will be identified in the published version. If you use Meltiply on behalf of an organization or workspace, you must have authority to bind it, and "you" includes it.

## 2. What Meltiply does — and key definitions

Meltiply is an online service that helps individuals, creators, and agencies plan, schedule, and publish content to social media platforms, review post performance, and manage audience comments. These Terms are meant to cover the website, the app, and every feature — including anything labelled **Preview** — but not the third-party platforms themselves (see Section 9).

Words used throughout:

- **Content** — the text, images, video, and other material you upload or create in Meltiply.
- **Workspace** — the organization your account belongs to.
- **Brand Profile** — a named scope inside a workspace that owns channels, media, and posts.
- **Channel** — a social account connected to a Brand Profile.
- **Platform** — a third-party social service Meltiply publishes to (currently TikTok, YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, and Threads).
- **Preview** — a feature visible in the app but not final or fully functional (see Section 11).

## 3. Eligibility and account information

- You must be legally capable of entering into a binding contract to use Meltiply, including any minimum age set by law where you live.
- Registering requires a name, an email address you control, and a password; the information you provide must be accurate.

## 4. Credentials and workspace responsibility

- Keep your sign-in credentials confidential. You are responsible for activity that occurs under your account.
- Whoever administers a workspace is responsible for what is scheduled and published from it — including posts queued for later release.
- Team invitations and role management are currently **Preview** features with no self-service controls in the app — the **Team Members** tab shows members but cannot invite or change roles. Your credentials are personal: do not share your password to give others access.

## 5. Plans, checkout, and billing

- Meltiply offers a **Free** plan and paid subscriptions (currently **Creator** and **Agency**). Each plan sets limits — uploads, distributions, connected platforms, storage, analytics, inbox replies — shown on the **Plan & usage** page. See [Billing & plans](/billing).
- Paid subscriptions are billed through **Polar**, our payment provider. Prices and payment details are shown on Polar's hosted checkout before you confirm; Meltiply does not list prices and does not store your card number. Subscriptions are managed in Polar's hosted billing portal, opened from **Plan & usage**.
- Paid-plan limits apply while a subscription is **Active** or **Trialing**. If a payment fails or a subscription ends, the workspace reverts to Free-plan limits.
- The detailed commercial terms — specific fees, billing cadence, taxes, refunds, and the effects and timing of cancellation — are not finalized. They will be stated in the final version of these Terms and, where applicable, in checkout and the billing portal. Until then, the checkout pages are the authoritative statement of price.

## 6. Your content and the license you grant

You keep ownership of your content. To operate the service, you grant Meltiply a limited, non-exclusive license to host, store, process, transmit, display, and deliver your content — including the technical adaptations needed to publish it to the platforms you choose. This license exists only to run the service: it transfers no ownership and lasts, per piece of content, only while it is stored in or being delivered by the service, subject to the retention described in the [Privacy Policy](/privacy).

Deleted drafts and media are removed permanently. Posts that already published to a platform are not deleted by Meltiply — remove them on the platform itself.

## 7. Rights and permissions for your content

- You represent that you own your content or hold every right, license, and consent needed to upload it and publish it to the platforms you select — including rights to any music, images, footage, and trademarks it contains, and permission from every person whose name, voice, or likeness appears in it.
- Some platforms require you to flag certain content — for example TikTok's brand-content and AI-generated disclosures. You are responsible for setting those flags accurately.
- Responsibility extends to scheduled posts — a post queued for later still publishes under your authority. Review every post, including any suggested or AI-assisted draft, before you schedule or publish it.

## 8. Scheduling, publishing, and delivery

- **Queued means accepted, not delivered.** Meltiply accepts the post for each selected channel and delivery proceeds per channel — one channel can publish while another is still processing or has failed. Per-channel statuses are tracked in the post details; see [Publishing posts](/publishing).
- **A scheduled time is a target, not a guarantee.** Delivery depends on each platform — authorizations lapse, platform APIs change or go down, and platforms can reject or delay posts.
- **Failure states are visible.** Failed deliveries show a reason and can often be retried, though not every failure is retryable.
- **Outcomes can be uncertain.** If a channel shows **Awaiting provider** or **Needs reconciliation**, Meltiply could not confirm the result — check the platform before resending, or you may create a duplicate.
- **Cancellation is a request, not a recall.** Cancelling stops pending deliveries; for a delivery already in flight it sends a cancellation request that may not stop in time. Cancelling never unpublishes a post that already went out — only the platform can remove it.

## 9. Connected platforms and their rules

- Meltiply publishes to platforms you connect using the authorization you grant each platform during the connect flow; granted permissions are shown per channel on the [Channels](/channels) board, where connections are re-authenticated and disconnected.
- Authorizations can expire or be revoked — refresh them in the app, or withdraw Meltiply's access from the platform's own settings.
- Your use of each platform is governed by **that platform's own terms, rules, and policies** — covering content, automation, disclosure, and posting frequency. You are responsible for complying with them.
- Meltiply is not responsible for a platform's availability or its decisions — rejecting, removing, or limiting the reach of your content, restricting your account, or changing its APIs or policies.

## 10. Acceptable use

You must not use Meltiply to:

- publish or plan content that is unlawful, infringing, deceptive, harassing, or that violates the rules of a connected platform;
- spam, run engagement-manipulation schemes, or evade platform rate limits or enforcement;
- access the service in ways we do not authorize — including probing, scraping, overloading, or interfering with its infrastructure;
- circumvent plan or usage limits;
- share credentials, or allow people outside your workspace to use it;
- upload malicious code or content designed to harm others;
- misrepresent your identity or affiliation.

We may investigate suspected violations and act under Section 13. Heavy use within your plan's limits is not a violation — this section targets abuse, not volume.

## 11. Preview and AI features

- Anything labelled **Preview** is demonstrative: it may be disabled, incomplete, changed, or withdrawn at any time. Current Previews include team management, signatures, notifications, API keys, AI Studio, and the integrations directory.
- **AI Studio is a scripted demonstration** — no AI agent is connected behind it; its text, recommendations, and approvals are illustrative, and nothing there is saved, scheduled, or published. The integrations directory is likewise illustrative — its credential fields store nothing, so do not paste real API keys or secrets into it.
- If AI-assisted drafting or suggestions ever reach the publishing flow, you remain responsible for reviewing and editing them before anything goes out under your name — automated suggestions can be wrong, and the approval is yours.
- Preview status does not soften these Terms — acceptable use, platform rules, and content responsibilities apply the same way.

## 12. Availability, changes, and outcomes

- We aim to keep Meltiply reliable, but the service is provided without a service-level guarantee. Maintenance, upstream platform changes, and events outside our control can interrupt it — including scheduled publishing.
- Features may be added, changed, or removed over time.
- We do not guarantee outcomes: successful delivery to every platform, audience reach or engagement, follower growth, or revenue from your content.

## 13. Suspension and termination

- We may suspend or limit access to all or part of the service when we reasonably suspect abuse, a security risk, a legal requirement, or a violation of these Terms. Where practical, we will explain the reason.
- We may remove or refuse to distribute content that violates these Terms or a platform's rules.
- You may stop using Meltiply at any time. Paid subscriptions are managed through the hosted billing portal linked from **Plan & usage**, which shows the actions and terms it currently offers; the cancellation terms themselves are among the commercial details not yet finalized (see Section 5).
- After an account or workspace ends, retained content and data are handled as described in the [Privacy Policy](/privacy). No specific self-service account-deletion control is promised yet; the closure process will be described in the final version.

## 14. Intellectual property

- Meltiply — its software, design, branding, and documentation — belongs to its operator and licensors. These Terms give you no rights in it beyond using the service as intended, and the Meltiply name and logo may not be used without permission.
- The only license running from you to us for your uploaded **Content** is the narrow operational license in Section 6.
- If you send us feedback or suggestions, we may use them to improve the service without obligation to you.

## 15. Disclaimers — and rights you keep

To the extent permitted by law, Meltiply is provided **"as is" and "as available"**, without warranties of any kind, express or implied — including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that content will publish successfully to any platform.

Some jurisdictions do not allow these exclusions. Nothing in these Terms removes a right you cannot lawfully waive — including non-waivable consumer rights; where such rights apply, these disclaimers and the limits below apply only to the extent the law permits.

## 16. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Meltiply and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages — including lost profits, lost data, lost audience or reach, missed scheduled posts, or platform enforcement actions — arising from or related to your use of the service.

An overall cap on liability will be set out in the final version of these Terms; the level has not yet been decided. Nothing in this section limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, such as for fraud or willful misconduct.

## 17. Governing law, disputes, and contact

The governing law and the forum and process for resolving disputes will be stated in the final version of these Terms, once decided after legal review. The operator's legal identity and contact details will be published at the same time.

The public Meltiply website is [meltiply.com](https://meltiply.com). A dedicated contact route for questions or notices about these Terms has not yet been established; it will be published with the final version.

## 18. Changes to these terms; related policies

- While this document is a draft it may be revised at any time. Once it takes effect, we will make reasonable efforts to notify you of material changes; continuing to use Meltiply after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
- The [Privacy Policy](/privacy) describes what data Meltiply processes and why; it sits alongside these Terms, each document governing its own subject.
- The linked product guides — [Billing & plans](/billing), [Publishing](/publishing), [Settings](/settings) — describe how the app currently behaves. They are documentation rather than contractual commitments; where they differ from the final Terms, the Terms govern.
